Live geoduck (Panopea generosa) fishery is opened throughout the year. Harvested by scuba divers from approved areas then transported to shore our wild geoduck are held in ocean water tanks, chilled, graded, banded, and placed in cases before shipping to you via air freight. Smokey Bay Seafood Group exports live wild geoduck from the Pacific Northwest to multiple destinations in North America, Asia, and Europe.
As a seafood the pacific geoduck has a remarkable sweet, sea-fresh flavor and tender texture when sliced thinly that sets it apart from other regions worldwide. Geoduck meat is enjoyed the most in its natural raw form as geoduck sashimi. But can also be quickly sautéed, stir-fried, or cooked. Given its delicious taste plus its unique appearance, the live geoduck clam is an excellent attraction for any restaurant’s showcase, retailer’s seafood counter and shellfish wholesaler.
